Dongfeng Nissan Debuts N6 Plug-in Hybrid, Pioneering Green Mobility in China

BEIJING, Aug. 14, 2025 – Dongfeng Nissan today unveiled its highly anticipated N6 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), marking a significant leap in the brand’s electrification strategy for the Chinese market. Designed to balance eco-friendly performance, cutting-edge technology, and family-friendly practicality, the N6 aims to redefine sustainable mobility for urban drivers.

The N6 strikes a distinctive silhouette with Nissan’s signature V-Motion front grille, reimagined with a closed-panel design and sleek LED daytime running lights, signaling its electric identity. Aerodynamic lines, a floating roof, and 19-inch low-resistance alloy wheels enhance efficiency while exuding modern sophistication. Inside, the cabin prioritizes sustainability with vegan leather seats and recycled trim materials, paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 15.6-inch central touchscreen for an intuitive, connected experience.

At the heart of the N6 is Dongfeng Nissan’s second-generation e-POWER plug-in hybrid system, pairing a 1.5L turbocharged engine with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery. The setup delivers an industry-leading pure electric range of 135 km (CLTC), enough for daily commutes, while the total range exceeds 1,200 km to eliminate range anxiety. With fuel consumption as low as 0.96L/100km in hybrid mode, the N6 reduces carbon emissions without compromising power—outputting 250 kW and 525 Nm of torque for smooth acceleration.

Technology takes center stage with the N6’s Nissan ProPILOT 2.0 advanced driver-assistance system, offering highway hands-free driving, intelligent lane changing, and automated parking. The infotainment system, co-developed with Chinese tech partners, supports over-the-air updates, voice control in multiple dialects, and seamless integration with popular apps like AutoNavi and WeChat.

Targeting young families and tech-savvy professionals, the N6 will be available in three variants, with prices starting at RMB 218,800. Pre-orders open nationwide on Aug. 20, with deliveries beginning in September.

“The N6 embodies Dongfeng Nissan’s commitment to ‘In China, for China’,” said Takayuki Katsuda, President of Dongfeng Nissan. “By blending global electrification expertise with local insights, we’re delivering a vehicle that meets Chinese consumers’ desire for green, smart, and reliable mobility.”

As Dongfeng Nissan accelerates its electrification roadmap—targeting 60% electrified sales by 2030—the N6 stands as a testament to the brand’s vision of powering a sustainable future, one journey at a time.
