On July 27th, 2024, BYD officially introduced the highly anticipated Song L DM-i to the market.
The BYD Song L DM-i is powered by the cutting-edge fifth-generation DM technology. It features a dedicated 1.5L high-efficiency engine combined with the EHS electric hybrid system. The 1.5L engine delivers a maximum power of 74kW (approximately 101 horsepower) and a peak torque of 126 Nm. The electric motor boasts a maximum power of 160kW (about 218 horsepower) and a peak torque of 260 Nm.
The vehicle is equipped with three different battery capacities: 12.9kWh, 18.3kWh, and 26.6kWh. Under the CLTC working conditions, the pure electric ranges are 75km, 112km, and 160km respectively. The comprehensive driving range can reach an impressive 1415km, 1450km, and 1500km. In the NEDC condition, the fuel consumption in the power-loss state is as low as 3.9L/100km.
The acceleration from 0 to 100km/h takes just 7.7 seconds. The maximum speed of the vehicle is 180km/h. It is equipped with a front McPherson independent suspension and a rear four-link independent suspension, along with an FSD variable damping shock absorber.
In terms of size, the BYD Song L DM-i measures 4780mm in length, 1898mm in width, and 1670mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2782mm.
The interior is designed with a focus on comfort and technology. It comes with a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a clear instrument panel, and a large suspended screen.
